Does NC Soft remove items?
Hello
I'm pretty sure people reported (= may not be true, but still...) that NC Soft removes items after they got banned for RMT, while it wasn't true and then unbanned. It's important and I can't find posts with that kind of saying. Would anyone please help find me some examples? Don't try to understand why I need this, I'm not banned, but need to know GoF |

Never heard of NCSoft removing items after banning. Most often accounts involving RMT and the like just gets closed. In case that ban was unwarranted, that account gets re-instated and as far as I know, all stuff will still be there.
There were even some incidents where items were duplicated, and I believe those duped items are still ingame. NCSoft/Anet hasn't got the manpower to track every bit of those shady items. |

ArenaNet just blocks accounts for RMT or botters. There is no need to remove items. The only unblocked accounts with missing items were the victims of hackers. As for finding such accusations on the forums, I have no idea what search terms you would use.

I wouldn't see the point in removing items on a banned account. I mean, if they were BANNED, the items would no longer be in circulation. It's not like we're talking about an IP ban, it's an account ban meaning that the account is no longer accessible. If the person is found innocent, then why go through the hassle of restoring items to that account? Makes more sense not to delete them in the first place.

I obviously didn't bookmark every time I saw a post about this on Guru, but after some search this is what I found:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/h...0372258p3.html Post 53 & Post 99 So nobody else has examples? Whether it's true or not, examples of people saying these kind of things (removing and adding items) are welcome |

You sure you're not mistaking it for instances of people getting their accounts hijacked and then having to go through support to get them back, only to find the one who hijacked the account stripped it of valuables?

I had my storage account banned for a week once, and they said it was for RMT. The account is in my guild, so I can see if anyone else logs it in, so I know it hasn't been hacked. After not putting items on it for 2 weeks, I logged in and got the message that I had been banned, but I only trade between my primary and it, so no idea what they thought I had done. The only thing I noticed was that the 7 plat that had been on that account had been taken. Everything else was there. I asked support and they said that if you are trading real money for game money, you will be banned and they will remove whatever they suspect you bought with real money. Problem was that I didn't do any gold buying and they still wouldn't return my 7 plat. I was just glad I wasn't storing large sums of cash on that account.

They do remove plat from your account.I got wrongfully banned once for some RMT bs and they removed 100k, once i got in touch with them i got my ban lifted and i got the plat back so yea they remove items, they think are obtained by breaking any rules.
PS. i can provide proof if needed |

They remove gold from accounts only if it's a temporary ban for RMT. Other than that, I don't think that they remove items from accounts.

Interesting. I wonder how this was done. Anet denies the ability to spawn ingame items, so maybe the gold is different, or they can do partial rollbacks.

Gold is not an item, it's just a number on the account or character file. They can add or remove gold but they cannot generate items on the live servers. Contest prizes are different - they are rewarded as unlock codes (to be entered manually or applied directly to the winning account).
